With INZMO's bicycle insurance, you are covered for all unforeseen damages or destruction of your bicycle caused by accidents, falls, and vandalism. Additionally, you are also protected against the loss of the bicycle due to theft under certain conditions, as well as burglary and robbery. Even electronic and liquid damages, such as to the battery or motor, as well as wear and tear, are covered. In short - you are fully covered.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide insurance coverage for electric bicycles subject to registration and insurance requirements, velomobiles/fully enclosed bicycles, custom-built bicycles, and subsequently installed optical and/or electronic accessories such as navigation systems, action cameras, etc.
Additionally, intentionally caused damages, damages resulting from participation in sports events, cosmetic damages that do not affect functionality, damages caused by rust or oxidation, and damages resulting from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances are not covered. A detailed list of all uninsured events can be found in the General Insurance Conditions under Section 3.9 "Uninsured Risks and Damages". If you have further questions regarding this matter, our support team is always happy to assist you.
Yes, you can insure a used bicycle. It's important that your bicycle is free of damages at the time of purchase and that you still have the original purchase receipt. With this, we can determine the age of your bicycle in the event of a claim.
The contract duration is 5 years with a minimum term of 12 months. Protection automatically ends after 5 years or in the event of total damage or theft, without the need for you to separately terminate the contract for this purpose. Additionally, after a term of 12 months, you have the option to terminate the contract on a monthly basis with a notice period of 7 days.
No, you do not have to pay a deductible in the event of a claim.
If your bicycle is damaged or stolen, please report the damage online immediately, and no later than within 7 days after becoming aware of it.
Our claims adjusters will review your claim and typically contact you within 24 hours. We may need to contact you again for further information or documents if anything is missing (but not always!).
Once your claim has been assessed, you can have your bicycle repaired at a workshop of your choice. If you send us a cost estimate in advance, you help us assess the incurred repair costs, and we can provide you with a binding commitment to cover the costs. Once we receive the invoice from you, you will be reimbursed for the incurred costs. Please make sure that the serial number or frame number of your bicycle is noted on the invoice or cost estimate so that we can process your claim as quickly as possible.
In the event of theft, report the incident not only to us but also immediately to the relevant police authority. We require a copy of the police report to assess your claim. Our claims adjusters will then guide you through the next steps. Usually, you can purchase a new bicycle yourself, and upon presentation of a receipt, we will reimburse you for the costs.
You can easily submit a claim by going to www.claims.inzmo.com or by clicking "Submit a claim" on top of this page. Alternatively, you can also use the INZMO app to report the damage.
Within 14 days after purchasing the insurance, you have the option to revoke your contract. You can initiate the revocation process yourself through your contract link, which we have sent to you via email along with your contract documents, or by contacting our support team.
After the revocation period has ended, you can cancel your contract on a monthly basis with a notice period of 7 days after a minimum term of one year. The cancellation date is determined by the insurance start date. Please direct your cancellation request to our support team.
You can reach our support team via chat or by sending an email to info@inzmo.com.
