INZMO offers insurance services via the INZMO mobile application (application) and the website https://inzmo.com (website). INZMO is the controller for the processing of personal data. In the provision of insurance services, the insurance company is the joint controller.

When users conclude contracts with each other via INZMO, INZMO acts as a data processor on behalf of the contracting parties.

What personal data do we process?

End user

To search for insurance via Inzmo, you can create an account via the website or the application. When you create an account, we collect the following data from you: first and last name, e-mail address, country, language, personal identification code, cell phone number and credit card details. These credit card details are transmitted directly to the payment service provider.

  • Information about devices in order to offer insurance for mobile devices: e.g. hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers and mobile network, IMEI code, telephone number and serial number (laptop);

We use this information to provide you with our services and to help you choose a suitable insurance policy. The applied legal basis under the GDPR for this processing is the performance of a contract (Terms of Use) between you and INZMO (GDPR Art. 6.1(b). Without this information, we will not be able to provide you with our services.

Partnerships

If you are interested in offering services to end users through INZMO, you can register a partner account, which can be a landlord, agent or other partner account. We will collect your company name, company type, chosen contact person's name, email and phone number.

We will use this information to connect you with our services to end users who are searching for insurance services. For this purpose, we will make your information available to end users when they receive a search request from them. The applied legal basis under the GDPR for this processing is the performance of the contract (Terms of Use) between you and INZMO (GDPR Art. 6.1(b). Without this information, we will not be able to provide you with our services.

Marketing and website activities

Website and application log data

We store the following information relating to the use of INZMO's websites and applications in server logs:

  • Information about how the services are used or which search queries are carried out;
  • Internet Protocol addresses (IP addresses);
  • Device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, date and time of requests and referring URL.

We use this information in our legitimate interest (i.e. on the legal basis provided for in Art. 6.1.f GDPR) to prevent fraudulent activity on the Website and in the Application and to save your login details for your next visit to the Website.

Chat support function

Both the INZMO website and the application have a chat widget that allows a user to receive support from our team. We process the information received and use it to provide you with the help you need as part of our fulfillment of the contract. The applied legal basis for this processing is the fulfillment of the contract, GDPR Art. 6.1.b).

We may also use the information received in our legitimate interest to improve our products and services. This processing takes place on the GDPR legal basis Art. 6.1.f) Legal basis of the legitimate interest of the controller.

Our chatbot, which uses OpenAI's ChatGPT, only collects the data necessary to provide the chatbot service and only collects personal data such as name, address, phone number or email address if you enter it in the chat. We do not systematically store this personal data that could identify you and recommend that you do not enter any personal information in the chat history if you do not wish to disclose any personal data. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without a legal obligation or to fulfill our contractual obligations. The personal data you provide will only be used for the stated purpose and we do not use cookies to track your interaction with the chatbot.

Please note that by using Nimo, your interaction with technology is processed from and in the United States, and OpenAI's Terms & policies apply.

Nimo is an AI chatbot based on OpenAI's ChatGPT API that uses advanced algorithms and machine learning to respond to your questions. However, it is important to note that Nimo can occasionally provide inaccurate information. The answers provided by Nimo, powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT, are not legally binding and there is no guarantee or liability for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information provided.

Use of the chatbot is at your own risk. Therefore, we recommend that you contact our customer service directly if you would like information about your contract or claim. We may analyze patterns in your chat history to improve Nimo's ability to answer your questions. This analysis may include topics, preferences or interests derived from your chat history. The chatbot using OpenAI's ChatGPT is protected by intellectual property rights, including copyrights. Copying, modifying or distributing the chatbot without permission from the rights holder is prohibited. Acts such as harassment, defamation or infringement of third party rights through the use of the chatbot are not permitted, and violations of these rules may have legal consequences.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use various technologies to collect and store information about how INZMO's websites and applications are used. Learn more about our cookie practices in the Cookies section of this policy below.

Social network pages

To promote our products and services, we maintain public INZMO pages on social networks, such as Facebook. We track the effectiveness of these social network pages based on the user traffic data provided by the social network providers. The applied legal basis for these activities is our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6.1.f), for which we are jointly responsible with the social network providers.

Newsletter and telephone calls

If you sign up for our newsletter via the website or give us permission to send marketing messages to the email/phone number you registered your account with, we will send you personalized offers, discounts and updates. We use this information to prepare, personalize (by including your name) and send our newsletter to you. This processing takes place on the legal basis of consent (GDPR Art. 6.1.a).

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us directly. Please note that the withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You can also unsubscribe from email newsletter subscriptions by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in our emails to you.

Applications

Our website offers a page where anyone can apply for an open position at INZMO. In order for us to consider your application, we collect your resume, salary requirements and potential start date via email. We evaluate this information against the job requirements solely for our recruitment purposes. The applied legal basis for this activity is our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6.1.f).

Disclosure and transfer of personal data to third parties

The personal data collected in connection with an insurance contract concluded via INZMO is transmitted to the insurance company. The insurance company's data can be found in the applications and on the INZMO website. Retail companies can publish offers for insurance services via the INZMO platform by entering customer data and organizing the payment of premiums. If an insurance service is purchased through a retailer via the INZMO platform, the personal data associated with the purchase of the insurance service (customer name, amount and date) will be passed on to the retailer. In the event of a claim settlement, the personal data is transmitted to the claims adjuster who clarifies the claim. This data is also made available to the insurance company and the trading company that organizes the replacement of the device. INZMO may involve third parties to provide INZMO's services. These include cloud hosting, accounting companies, email notification providers, technical support ticket providers, CRM platforms, analytics services and logistics partners. These third parties only process personal data on the basis of our instructions and we ensure that these companies apply the appropriate level of protection to your personal data.

Payment provider

Integrated plug-ins

INZMO works with third-party tools that enable their connection to INZMO websites and applications via an API. Please note that whenever you interact with these third parties, you are providing your information directly to them.

Analytics

Non-personally identifiable information is collected and processed by Google Analytics, among others, in anonymized and aggregated form to improve the usability of our app. This also serves marketing purposes. Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and analyzes user traffic on apps and websites. It uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of INZMO products and services. This data can also be shared with other Google services. INZMO and Google are jointly responsible for the data collected from you via Google Analytics. However, we do not have access to information about a specific individual collected in this way. Therefore, we advise you to contact Google to exercise any GDPR rights in relation to your data. Security of personal data

Our team is based in the European Union, but we store personal data on servers that are either outside the EEA or accessed by third parties outside the EU. INZMO has taken good technical and organizational measures to keep your data secure, i.e. against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. For international data transfers, we use safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by the GDPR (i.e. GDPR Chapter 5). If you want to know more about this, just send us an email.

To ensure safety:

  • INZMO services use SSL encryption;
  • Our rules for the collection, storage and processing of data, including physical security measures, are constantly updated;
  • Only INZMO employees and service providers who need access to data for their work are granted access. All employees must remain silent;
  • Data that we no longer need will be deleted.

Storage of data

INZMO stores your data associated with your account until you are no longer our customer. We will retain data related to insurance benefits and claims settlement for as long as the insurance company and the claims adjuster require us to do so.

Your rights

You can assert your GDPR rights with us, in particular:

  • You can object to the processing of your data.
  • You have the right to know what data we have about you and to request a copy of it.
  • If your data is incorrect or out of date, you can request a review and correction;
  • You can temporarily stop the processing of your data;
  • You can request the deletion of your data;
  • You can have your data transferred to you or an organization of your choice.
  • You can make such requests or send questions about data protection to datenschutz@inzmo.com.

If you think that we are violating your rights or you are dissatisfied with a response, you can complain to the relevant data protection authority. If the data you request to be deleted must be retained for legal reasons, INZMO will inform you of these restrictions and the procedure for deletion. We retain data transmitted to insurance companies and claims adjusters for the specified periods. Please note that INZMO is not responsible for this data and cannot request deletion from insurance companies and loss adjusters on your behalf. You must make these requests directly to them.
